Sebastian Burdon, also known as Whatshisname (born in 1982 in Poland) artist & product designer is best recognised for his unorthodox approach and breaking common conventions of modern design.
His mission is to celebrate an alternative to the ordinary by creating joyful art. He lives and creates in London, UK.
He started making first digital art at the age of 7 while using Atari 130 XE. After moving to London in 2006 and having worked as an assistant and consultant to well established British artists, he now creates his work using both digital and traditional techniques. He uses mediums such as resin and fibreglass for statues, silkscreen prints as well as unconventional materials such as butterflies and 3D printing. Sebastian has explored various branches of the creative industry. He has been heavily involved in the world contemporary and pop art by participating in the projects displayed in London, New York, Verona and Berlin. He is currently represented by Metropolitan Gallery in Hamburg, Germany, Rise Gallery in Croydon, Westbank Gallery in London & UK and Singapore Science Centre.
The aim of his art is to delight the viewers with the unconventional, making them look twice at his work. He wants to encourage the viewer to look at the surrounding world and question it in a divergent and curious way.
His work is currently shown in exhibitions in the UK, Spain, Germany, Hong Kong and Singapore.
